Twins' Blackburn to Undergo Wrist Surgery

MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota starter Nick Blackburn ended last year in the minor leagues, and it appears doubtful that he'll start the 2013 season in the majors.

The team announced Monday that Blackburn will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right wrist Wednesday at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. The surgery means that Blackburn will be in a cast for six weeks, which means he will miss the first few weeks of spring training next month...
