The Green Bay Packers' season is over after they were exposed on the defensive side of the ball against the San Francisco 49ers and their second year quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The Niners' read-option completely flummoxed Clay Matthews and company.
2012 was a success in that the Packers won the division, again, but they look to lose long time mainstays Greg Jennings and Donald Driver on the offensive side of the ball and possibly Charles Woodson on the defensive side.
That said, this is a deep and talented team that should be back in contention for the NFC North title next year. General Manager Ted Thompson will need to continue to mine the NFL draft to expand the roster's talent base, a job he has proven adept at over the years.
Matt Miller and I rounded up a bunch of football fans, gave them hats and B/R swag, then headed over to Highland Park here in New York City and tried to figure out where the Packers have the most pressing needs heading into the 2013 NFL draft.
