New Coaching Staff Brings New Attitude to Auburn O-Line
Head coach Gene Chizik and the rest of the new staff at Auburn has brought a new attitude to the team's offensive line. According to this story in the Birmingham News, former Auburn offensive coordinator Tony Franklin had required the offensive line to play faster and smaller. Some of the players were expected to play as low as 280 pounds.

Currently, all of the lineman are on a mission to pack on the pounds while taking in 5,000 calories a day.

While the returning linemen choose their words carefully when speaking about the former coaching staff, it is apparent that the Auburn offensive line is happy about the change in direction. Look for a return of them being a beefed up bunch and a return to Auburn power football in 2009.
