On Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers were watching the Seahawks-Falcons Divisional Round game with great anticipation. Two different outcomes obviously meant two different scenarios for the 49ers. If the Seahawks would have won, San Francisco would have hosted the NFC Championship Game at Candlestick Park.

However, Seattle couldn't manage to hold off Atlanta with 31 seconds left to play, which in turn means the 49ers will now have to go on the road and win if they want to appear in the Super Bowl for the first time since 1994.

Playing on the road and winning on the road in the NFL is no easy task. Home-field advantage is real, but that doesn't mean a well-versed team like the 49ers can't overcome any abnormal situation that is thrown their way.

Even the Vegas sports books think San Francisco has what it takes to win the NFC Championship Game on the road. Last year, the 49ers played host to the New York Giants and were two-point favorites—now they are away from home and have opened up as three-point favorites, according to Vegas Insider.

After a convincing win over the Packers, it's not hard to see why Jim Harbaugh's club is favored for the second straight year. The Falcons had a hard time containing Russell Wilson on Sunday, so the 49ers may want to use a similar attack to help ensure a trip to New Orleans in next week's game.
