What Are the Buffalo Bills' Needs in the 2013 NFL Draft?

Aaron NaglerNFL National Lead WriterJanuary 14, 2013

For 13 consecutive years, the Buffalo Bills have not made the NFL playoffs. Ownership has spoken. Out with the old, in with a brand new regime.

The Bills, among other things, now have a new head coach and defensive coordinator. Doug Marrone brings an offensive mind to a team that has shown signs of life, but hasn't produced. Marrone, the former Syracuse head coach hopes to improve on the Bills 6-10 record. Mike Pettine, their new defensive coordinator, comes from the Jets where New York generally had a much stronger and aggressive defense than the Bills.

Does this new regime change equal a quarterback change? Ryan Fitzpatrick was 16-29 as a starter under Chan Gailey. He's owed a $3 million roster bonus at the start of the new league year. He's also slated to make $4.25 million in 2013. The Bills will save roughly $500K against the cap if they cut Fitzpatrick.

So, is this the last we've seen of "Fitzmagic"?

Matt Miller and I rounded up a bunch of football fans, gave them hats and B/R swag, then headed over to Highland Park here in New York City and tried to figure out where the Bills have the most pressing needs heading into the 2013 NFL draft.
