Stars Face Challenges in Trying to Get off to Fast Start in Shortened Season

The Stars have a challenging schedule in 2012-13. With the NHL coming back from a lockout and trying to squeeze in 48 games in 90 days, there is urgency to get off to a fast start. Yet, the Stars have seven games in their first 11 days, have 10 of their first 15 games on the road, and have a goalie who is their MVP who they are trying to protect from a history of injuries (he had a significant groin injury last season).
