Jan. 20, Pittsburgh at New York
Hockey is back in New York and the Garden will be rocking for the Rangers' home opener against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
New York fans have waited a long time to see the Rangers take the ice, after they came oh-so-close to making the Stanley Cup final.
The Rangers have reloaded and are among the favorites to win it all this year.
Now, they'll take on the Penguins, one of the chief obstacles standing in the way of Lord Stanley. These two teams also hate each other and every game is a physical battle.
It will be quite the atmosphere for this divisional rivalry and one game you simply cannot miss.
Jan. 24, New York at Philadelphia
The Rangers will take on the hated Flyers in what will be a fierce divisional battle.
These two teams truly hate each other and they have one of the best rivalries in hockey. They will finally get the chance, after an elongated absence, to renew it.
Look for a lot of physical play and a lot of goals, as these two teams look to establish lead position in the Atlantic Division. Both teams are contenders and they can make a statement right away with a win.
Feb. 5, New York at New Jersey
The Rangers will return to the place where their hearts were broken.
On Feb. 5, the Rangers will play the Devils at the Rock, where they lost in heartbreaking fashion in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference final, ending their season.
The Rangers will be back for revenge while the Devils will be looking to keep their edge.
Whenever these two teams play, it's always a tough battle and this will be no different. In fact, this may be one of the most physical games of the season for both teams.
Look for both teams to come out swinging and play in a tough, physical battle.
Mar. 19, Carolina at New York
It's Staal and Staal vs. Staal, as it's the first time the three Staal brothers will play in the same game.
The Carolina Hurricanes acquired Jordan Staal from the Pittsburgh Penguins on June 23, and he and Eric will team up to face off against Marc and the Rangers.
The Staals are the modern-day Sutters and to see the three of them in one game, on the same rink, will be quite the sight.
The Hurricanes are expected to be pretty good this year, as they had a nice offseason. In addition to adding Jordan Staal, they signed Alexander Semin, who has 40-goal potential.
This should be a hard-fought game and it will be a real treat to see the Staal brothers on ice at the same time.
