SOUTH BEND, Ind.—
Tyler Olander had his best game as a UConn Husky, with 16 points and seven rebounds, and coupled with Shabazz Napier’s sharp shooting, it fueled UConn to a 65-58 win over 17th-ranked Notre Dame in Big East men’s basketball at Purcell Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.

Napier, who scored 19 points, was 5 for 6 from the floor in the first half, his shooting bringing UConn back from an eight-point deficit. In the second half, Olander really asseted himself against the Irish’s big, physical front line, especially Jack Cooley. Olander hit 8 of his first 9 shots from the floor.
