TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- The pain in Eddie Lacy’s surgically repaired toe lingered for nine months, one of his knees was barking and his ankle was tight.
The 2012 season was just getting underway, and the lower half of Lacy’s body was already a mess from the everyday wear and tear of playing running back at this high of a level.
“We get hit a lot,” Lacy said.
