The Ducks announced today that they have named Scott Niedermayer assistant coach. Niedermayer, who retired from the NHL on June 22, 2010 and remained with the Ducks as a Hockey Operations consultant, will join Bruce Boudreau’s coaching staff immediately.

Niedermayer is joined by fellow assistant coaches Bob Woods and Brad Lauer, and video coordinator Joe Piscotty.
