With Notre Dame losing in the national championship to Alabama, four-star linebacker Alex Anzalone has decided that he will add to the heartache of the folks in South Bend.

Instead of suiting up for the Irish next season, Anzalone has decommitted and will take his talents to the Florida Gators.

Irish Illustrated was one of the first to report the news:

Turns out the sudden reaction is because of head coach Brian Kelly interviewing for the possible Philadelphia Eagles job, as 247Sports reported.

This isn't the first time Anzalone has been in the news for something like this, as he decommitted from the Ohio State Buckeyes in early 2012 after a weird incident with a convicted sex offender. This decommitment just added fuel to the fire for a fanbase that is already upset at having its perfect season end so suddenly. He was expected to enroll to Notre Dame this week, but decided to flip-flop once again.

So once fans discovered the news, Anzalone was on the receiving end of many angry Tweeters.

Note: Anzalone was receiving hundreds of tweets once the news broke. Many were not appropriate to feature in this article. Here are some of the nicer ones.

One Irish fan says the commitment should have been to the program, not the head coach.

Somehow Manti Te'o got brought into the conversation, but it sure didn't involve any Heisman Trophies.

Stephen Kaplachinski believes that once you make a commitment, you stick by it.

Anzalone has his character questioned by another Irish fan:

But not all Notre Dame supporters are big meanies:

There is one Notre Dame fan who may be ready to throw in the towel after hearing the news:

Someone decided to remind Anzalone that Florida didn't do so well in its BCS bowl, either:

Shots fired!

Louie thinks that Anzalone won't be able to hack it in the competitive SEC:

Could the four-star player really have changed his mind that much?

It is so tough being a top recruit these days:

Could Te'o save the day?

And the tweet of the day goes to...

It will be interesting to see if this commitment is the one that finally sticks for Anzalone.
