Well, it doesn't look like embattled New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow will be honing his craft in the state of Florida anytime soon.

David Caldwell, newly appointed general manager of the Jacksonville Jaguars, has seemingly put to rest the rampant speculation that Tebow was destined to join the Jaguars in 2013.

Via the team's official Twitter account:

Some, like the New York Post's Bart Hubbach, believe that this is the final nail in the coffin that contains Tebow's NFL career:

I'm not so sure.

Tebow was hardly put in a position to succeed with the New York Jets in 2012, and while his style is unconventional to say the least, he has proven that he can lead a team to victory under center in the NFL, as he did with the Denver Broncos in 2011.

A phenomenal athlete, surely there is a team out there that could find a way to best utilize the skills that Tebow brings to the table—though in many cases, it would necessitate a position change for the former Florida Gator.

Let's take a look at a few possible destinations.

Green Bay Packers

He'd have no chance of ever throwing a pass, but the chance to learn under Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy could prove beneficial for his career.

With Green Bay's lack of a running game, Tebow lined up in the backfield on goal-line situations would give opposing defenses something to think about before dropping everyone back into coverage to cover the Packers' plethora of receiving threats.

Kansas City Chiefs

The overwhelming assumption is that the Chiefs are going to select West Virginia's Geno Smith with the first pick in the 2013 NFL Draft to be the team's quarterback of the future, but what if they don't?

New head coach Andy Reid certainly has an affinity for mobile quarterbacks, and while Tebow doesn't have anywhere near the throwing arm that guys like Donovan McNabb and Michael Vick had, surely Reid could find creative ways to incorporate Tebow into the Chiefs' offensive attack.

New England Patriots

This is a similar situation to Green Bay.

He'd never throw a pass, but the ability to learn under Tom Brady and Bill Belichick certainly couldn't hurt Tebow's career.

Tebow's running ability could cause chaos for opposing defenses in the red zone, defenses already stretched thin trying to account for all of Tom Brady's weapons.

Canadian Football League

This certainly would rank at the bottom of Tebow's wish list, but if no NFL team is willing to give him a shot as a quarterback and he refuses to change positions, heading north of the border may be the only way for him to continue playing the sport he loves professionally.
