Rockies' Tulowitzki Plans to Play for Team USA in WBC Tournament

There was a point last summer in his painfully slow recovery process that Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki couldn't lift his leg to tie his shoe. Surgery to remove scar tissue irritating a nerve in his left groin went as planned on June 21, but his strength did not return and he did not play another game with the Rockies the rest of the season. His frustration reached a boiling point during an Arizona instructional league game on Oct. 2, when his compromised ability revealed why he was unable to return to the big leagues.
