Maple Leafs' Jake Gardiner's Start to Season Likely Delayed by Concussion

When the Toronto Maple Leafs assigned Jake Gardiner to their AHL-affiliate during the lockout, it was with the intent that he would be able to continue developing the offensive skills that made one of the top rookies last year. And while he did, scoring 17 points in 22 games, a concussion suffered after taking a hit last month has likely stalled his start to the NHL season.
