Missouri-Oklahoma State: Tigers Lash Back at Cowboys

Stillwater, OK- The Missouri Tigers won the final game of their three game series against Oklahoma State by shutting out the Cowboys 1-0. 

OSU pitcher Tyler Lyons hung and pitched the entire game giving up five hits, three of which came in the top of the sixth inning allowing senior infielder Kyle Mach to cross the plate.

OSU's opportunity to score a run in the bottom of the third inning was denied when Cowboys outfielder Michael Dabbs was gunned down at the plate.

Mizzou's secret weapon, nine pitchers in nine innings, improved to 6-1 this season.

Missouri improved to 13-14 on the season and 4-5 in the Big 12 Conference, while Oklahoma State fell to 19-8 overall and 3-3 in the Big 12.

Mizzou will travel to St Louis to play St Louis in a one game match up at 7:15 p.m. CT.

Cowboys will play a make up-game at home against Tabor College this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. CT.
