Defensive backs coach Dennis Thurman is expected to be named as the new defensive coordinator, the Daily News has learned. Rex Ryan announced Tuesday that current defensive coordinator Mike Pettine has decided to move on from the Jets after rejected a contract extension from the team earlier this season.
