For the first time since 2009, Pittsburgh Steelers fans aren't able to watch their beloved team in the NFL playoffs. 2012 saw a lot of ups and downs on the field and some drama off the field, but if it taught us anything it's that Pittsburgh has some holes to fill on its roster, where age and ineffectiveness have taken hold.
Obviously, the Steelers had to deal with an extended absence of their franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger this year, but that wasn't the only issue this team faced. While there were some promising performances, this is a team that has traditionally done a good job of augmenting its talent level in the draft, and this year should be no different.
Matt Miller and I rounded up a bunch of football fans, gave them hats and B/R swag, and headed over to Highland Park here in New York City and tried to figure out the Steelers' most pressing needs heading into the 2013 NFL draft.
Let us know in the comments below where you agree or disagree with our assessments and what other needs we might have missed.
