Michigan State 2009 National Champions?

INDIANAPOLIS - MARCH 29: Goran Suton #14 and Draymond Green #23 of the Michigan State Spartans reach for a rebound against Samardo Samuels #24 of the Louisville Cardinals during the fourth round of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament at the Lucas Oil Stadium on March 29, 2009 in Indianapolis, Indiana. After the Michigan State - Louisville game in which Michigan State destroyed Louisville, I got to thinking about something. The 1979 National Championship game in which Michigan State defeated Indiana State.

These two games are similar in a lot of ways; including the fact both Michigan State teams had a dominate big man. The 1979 team had Magic Johnson, and the 2009 team has Goran Suton. The 1979 team has Greg Kelser and the 2009 team has Kalin Lucas.

If you ask me this sounds like an eerily similar comparison.

Don't get me wrong this next game against UConn is going to be a tough one, but if they play like they did against Louisville they are going to be unstoppable.

Yes Suton is going to have his hands full with Thabeet, but didn't he also have them full with some other big men like Aldrich, Gibson, and Clark? Yea he did, and he handled himself pretty well.

So to all you State hater's out there, I'm sorry to tell you this but State isn't done. Not yet anyways. So good luck
