Washington Wizards vs. Miami Heat 1/6/13: Video Highlights and Recap
Destroyed is not a powerful enough word to describe what the Miami Heat (23-9) did to the Washington Wizards (4-28) down the stretch of their game in Miami on Sunday night.
The Heat closed this game out on a 21-0 run to win, 99-71. Let's just pour it on the Wizards a little more here: They did not score a single point over the last 7:07 of this game. While we all know the Heat can play some defense, this is still a hard-to-fathom stat.
Had the Wizards just chucked it up from half court every possession for seven minutes, they would have made at least one.
It is worth noting that, after a stretch of getting killed on the boards, the Heat out-rebounded the Wizards in this one.

Player of the Game: LeBron James
King James dumped in 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting. He also added seven assists, two rebounds and a block.
What's Next
The Heat will leave Miami for a six-game road trip that begins in Indiana against the Pacers on Tuesday.
The Wizards will return home for a three-game homestand that begins against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday.
