Anxiety disorder? That is what doctors have told the Detroit Tigers is afflicting Dontrelle Wills. Dontrelle is on the DL as the fight for the final spot(s) begins, but the big question now is: "just what IS wrong with Wills?"

According to reports, this disorder was found through blood tests. I'm not a medical expert, but this seems a little bit fishy.

The problem with Dontrelle is definitely mental, but anxiety? Anxiety just seems like it doesn't fit. Whatever the disorder is, it has been cleared by MLB, which was required to place Wills on the DL. Wills' condition is reported as being treatable.

It was becoming clear that Wills wasn't going to make the Tigers roster, as Rick Porcello and Nate Robertson had clearly out pitched him.

Wills' control issues made him a liability Detroit couldn't afford coming out of its pen. Placing Wills on the DL allows Detroit some flexibility as they try to figure out if they will be able to get anything from their investment.

Will mental treatment work? The physical attempts have failed, maybe the mental approach will succeed.

For the sake of Dontrelle and the Tigers I hope so.
