There is constant writing about the NFL players, owners, and coaches.

But while that is fun and exciting, there should be a little time taken out to look at the people who make the league run—the fans.

Here is a look at the top three and bottom three NFL team fans, based on general character and dedication.

There will be mixed emotions about the list created, but let's be honest, i'ts just a game.

Enjoy!

No. 32: Detroit Lions Fans

Let's start out with some insulting generalizations: Most people have a hard time picking on Detroit considering they officially had the worst team in NFL history last year, but I find picking on them easy.

Detroit fans were not even lugubrious, they were flat out AWOL!

Now, I understand it must be hard going, what...12 years without a + .500 season? But football is a business and the more interest fans show, the more inclined management will be to invest.

You have a nice stadium—Get in there and let them know you want to turn that franchise around!

No. 31: Minnesota Vikings Fans

I guess we're going to see a lot of NFC North teams in here, huh?

Unlike Detroit, Minnesota does not face the problem of being embarrassed, it faces the problem of never satisfying its fans unless the Vikings win a Super Bowl.

Of all the NFL fans, Minnesota makes me the most upset.

So much talent, such great management, solid coach, division titles—and still, angry fans.

Minnesota fans are like the spoiled brat who got a Mustang for her Sweet 16, but threw a fit because she wanted a Rolls-Royce.

Suck it up, you little brat. You don't know how lucky you have it or what you do to the morale of your team.

No. 30: Philadelphia Eagles Fans

NEW YORK - APRIL 26: Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles cheer during the 2008 NFL Draft on April 26, 2008 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. (Photo by Jim McIsaac/Getty Images)

This one is split. Some Eagles fans are great, some terrible, so I'm going to generalize with the negative because that's exactly what I've witnessed every time I'm in Eagles territory.

Eagles fans are a different kind of fan. They show up, they yell, they get drunk. The last of the three is the reason for the first, and the cause of the second.

In short, Eagles fans drink.

It seems like half the crowd doesn't know what's really going on. They just want to get plastered and yell at something, and a football game is a good excuse.

That said, they complain about their team even when it is playing at a high level. I can't imagine too many players having a desire to play in Philly.

No. 3: San Diego Chargers Fans

Jumping up to the fans we want to see, the San Diego Chargers kickoff the top three in my book without a doubt.

I had a chance to live in San Diego for a year and was blown away by the support and lack of complaining that these fans exhibit.

When the Chargers play bad, the fans get down, but they stick with the team, rain, snow, or shine—although the first two never happen in SD.

Every Sunday, in every bar, there are Chargers jerseys swarming the lot.

San Diego Fans, I salute you.

No. 2: Pittsburgh Steelers Fans

TAMPA, FL - FEBRUARY 01: (L-R) Tom Listwak, Justin Tomayko and Leslie Carey, fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers, hold up a 'priceless' sign in support of their trip to see the Steelers play against the Arizona Cardinals during Super Bowl XLIII on February 1,

We move across Pennsylvania to a fan base that has respect.

The Pittsburgh Steelers fans deserve this spot. They respect other teams and exhibit an enormous amount of pride and confidence in their coaches.

Another thing I love is how Pittsburgh fans are always out in the bitter cold, cheering for a team that wins with defense instead of explosive plays.

They're not the most fun team to watch in the NFL, but the fans show the love every Sunday. That gives Pittsburgh the No. 2 spot without a doubt.

No. 1: Green Bay Packers Fans

GREEN BAY, WI - SEPTEMBER 18: A fan of the Green Bay Packers holds up a sign honoring the late Reggie White, whose number '92' was retired during a half time ceremony, in a game against the Cleveland Browns at Lambeau Field September 18, 2005 in Green Ba

Packer Fans, what can I say? You've earned this spot without a doubt.

No matter how poor or well your boys in green and gold play, you'll fight for them verbally and physically.

Last year, Packer fans went through one of the most dramatic and messy situations I've ever seen in pro football. I am, of course, speaking of the Brett Favre situation.

Packer fans didn't complain, get mad at Favre, or try to overthrow Aaron Rogers (with the exception of chanting at Rogers on the first day of practice).

Fans sold out the stadium all year, just like they do every game. They would even show their ongoing love for both Favre and the Pack by wearing Favre's Jets uniform while cheering in Green Bay.

Fans of Green Bay, you have my respect.
