Looks like everyone's favorite "Broski" is ready to celebrate a huge milestone for his YouTube series Z! True Long Island Story.
According to Ryder, the series is about to hit 100 episodes, which is pretty huge considering it was initially set up as a vehicle to garner some attention for the fledgling WWE star.
Not only did it work, but it also landed him a US title run. Which is not too shabby for a guy who most fans had forgotten about. Since October, Ryder has been sporadically teasing this episode via Twitter:
SAVE THE DATE…1/11/13…Episode 100 of Z! True Long Island Story! #finale?— Zack Ryder (@ZackRyder) October 20, 2012
He has been pretty quiet about the episode of late—until Thursday, when he tweeted:
Working on Episode 99 of Z! True Long Island Story. A MAJOR announcement will be made. #OneeleVEnthiRteen— Zack Ryder (@ZackRyder) January 3, 2013
This Tweet has left many wondering what he is referring to. I, for one, feel that he may be calling it quits after the episode. He stated on his latest episode that he "is going to kill what he created." It's gotta be rough watching the WWE take something you had creative license over and tweak it into what they feel it should be.
Keep in mind, prior to the WWE taking the show under its wing, Ryder funded, produced, edited and promoted the show all on his own.
Ultimately, Ryder has done a great job getting noticed and revitalizing his career. Sadly, it appears the WWE isn't as invested in the star as they were one year ago. Let's face it, Ryder went from main-event storylines on Raw to barely having his entrance used on-air.
We are just a few short days away from the announcement, so we will know soon enough what's in store for Ryder. Until then, we can only speculate and savor the shows that have been made to date.
