Scout.com lists the ex-Auburn Tiger commit as a 4-star prospect. Johnson made his announcement at the Under Armour All American game currently going on.

Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes beat out schools from the likes of Florida, Tennessee and Penn State.  With early playing time a factor in Johnson’s final decision, Ohio State can offer that to the the linebacker from Lawrenceville, Georgia. The linebacker position will be a huge question mark early in the season for Ohio State, and if Johnson can come in and impress, he could find himself in the middle of the starting lineup.

Johnson goes 6'0", 220 pounds and was expected to give his commitment to the Buckeyes when Bill Greene of Scout.com tweeted yesterday, “Trey Johnson WILL be announcing tomorrow as planned. And I think I know where he's going. Scratch that. It's Ohio State.”

Coach Meyer is seemingly having his way with any recruit he goes after, but we all expected that.

The Buckeyes aren’t done recruiting on that side of the ball, though. Ohio State still likes its chances with fellow linebacker Mike Mitchell and safety prospect Vonn Bell. Mitchell will be announcing at the US Army All American Game on January 5.
