Evanston, Ill. — Tim Hardaway Jr. missed his first career game on Saturday because of an injured right ankle. With his 21 points against Northwestern on Thursday night, he more than made up for lost time.

Hardaway, who injured the ankle in practice last week, sat in the locker room following Michigan's 94-66 win over the Wildcats with the foot soaking in a cooler full of ice — that's about the only thing that cooled him down after shooting 6-for-8 from the field, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range.
