Tampa Bay Rays Cy Young winning left-hander David Price was very pleased to get his one-year, $10.1125 million deal done and avoid arbitration, weeks before the Jan. 18 deadline.
“It’s always good to get this done early,” Price said Thursday. “I didn’t want to go into spring training and have to leave to go to an arbitration hearing.. The way we did our deal is very unique, that had a lot to do with the timing of it. It was a good time for it and a very good deal..."
