Debating Who Is the 2012 Regular-Season NFL MVP

Aaron Nagler@Aaron_NaglerNFL National Lead WriterJanuary 4, 2013

With the 2012 NFL regular season in the rear-view mirror and the playoffs starting, it is time to look back on a season which gave us some incredible individual performances. From a rookie passing record being set to a receiving record being obliterated, there were ample displays of individual brilliance this year.

But which NFL player was the "most valuable"? That's insta-debate fodder any year, but the 2012 season may have one of the most hotly contested battles for an award we've seen in the NFL in a long time.

Great cases can be made for Adrian Peterson, Peyton Manning, J.J. Watt and perhaps a few others. I know who I would vote for.

In the video above, we at B/R look at a couple contenders and give our reasoning why they should win the award.

Let us know in the comments below where you agree or disagree, or if we've missed anyone, and give your reasoning behind your picks.
