London Fletcher Is a Player of the Month

The NFL announced Thursday that Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for December. The 37-year-old Fletcher had three interceptions in his first four games of the month and two sacks Sunday night against the Cowboys in the last one. He was the only player in the NFL with at least three interceptions and at least two sacks in the month, and his 51 tackles tied for second in the league. He helped pace an improve Redskins defense while Washington went 5-0 in December to win the NFC East.
