The Chicago Cubs have had a very interesting winter. They were one of the busiest teams with free-agent signings, but, oddly enough, only one of the position players they signed was ranked in the top 100 position player free-agent list according to CBSSports.com. That player was Nate Schierholtz (ranked No. 23).
That was pretty much the extent of the Cubs making a big splash this winter.
Even still, those moves may have been a bigger splash than most Cubs fans expected. The Cubs may not have nabbed any of the big-name free agents available, but they did address many of their needs moving into the 2013 season.

Here are five rumors that remain floating around the Cubs as the team prepares for the 2013 season.
