Capitals-Hurricanes: Pre-Game Hype

Robert McGeeSenior Writer IMarch 25, 2008

No hype is needed for tonight’s game. The Hurricanes are hoping to take one step closer to clinching the Southeast Division title, while the Caps are hoping to keep their playoff hopes alive.

It’s been reported that Patriick Eaves has the flu and is doubtful for tonight. Unbelievable….Hopefully he keeps it to himself. Wade Brookbank is back and Dennis Seidenberg is available. I’ll take a stab at the lines without Eaves.

  • Staal-Cole-Samsonov
  • Aucoin-Walker-Bayda
  • Letowski-Ruutu-Hamilton
  • Brookbank-Conboy-Jensen
  • Corvo-Kaberle
  • Wesley-Wallin
  • Hedican-Gleason

Cam Ward will be facing Cristobal Huet in goal. “Wardo” is starting his career best 15th consecutive game. He is 11-3-1 over that stretch. Carolina leads the season series 4-2. Gametime at 7 and it is broadcast locally.
