Chelsea have been linked with a move for Bayer Leverkusen striker Andre Schurrle in the January transfer window, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 22-year-old joined Leverkusen in 2011 after scoring 20 goals in 66 appearances for Mainz 05.

The Germany international has struck six times in 23 games this season for Leverkusen after playing a minor role for his country at Euro 2012.

Schurrle, who can also play as a winger, has excellent ability with the ball at his feet and his work rate cannot be faulted, as highlighted by Allan Jiang here at B/R when Chelsea were linked with the player
in the summer.

However, his strike rate since joining Leverkusen has dropped with him being employed mainly out wide by coaches Sami Hyypia and Sascha Lewandowski.

Schurrle received recognition from German magazine Kicker for his displays for Leverkusen in the first half of the current Bundesliga campaign, which was highlighted by the Bayer Leverkusen official website.

But what do Chelsea supporters think of the enclosed showreel of Schurrle's skills?
