Don't tell that to the Browns because the suffering franchise reportedly has their sights locked in on the current Oregon Ducks head coach.

The Browns are looking for their fourth new head coach since 2008 after they fired Pat Shurmer (as reported by USA Today's Nate Davis).
In other words, patience has not been a priority a Cleveland. This is a fanbase and franchise that has grown increasingly desperate for wins, and that is part of the reason why Kelly would not be a good fit here.
The Browns' roster is currently not a good fit for Kelly's coaching style. While teams can reshape a roster faster than ever in today's NFL, to get Kelly the kind of talent he would need to run his style of play will take more than one offseason.
Kelly likes his offense fast. He wants it run fast, and he wants his players fast. This requires both speed and depth at the skill positions. Anyone who plays for Kelly in the NFL is going to have to be supremely conditioned, and even then, they are going to need a few plays off as Kelly likes to run plays in rapid-fire succession.
The Browns have some decent speed on offense with the likes of Josh Gordon and Trent Richardson, but this is not an explosive offense.
Still, the biggest concern is not with the receivers or the running backs, it's with the quarterback.
Kelly has always used a mobile quarterback that can make things happen with his legs and is a constant threat to tuck in the ball in and run. It is essential to his offense that defenses have to account for the quarterback taking off on any play.
Quarterback Brandon Weeden is a solid athlete, but his running ability isn't exactly striking fear in the hearts of defenses.
This means the Browns could find Kelly a different quarterback, or Kelly could tweak his offense to fit Weeden.
It is too early for the Browns to give up on their second-year QB, and Kelly tweaking his offense would only increase the learning curve for a coach that has never been involved with the league at any capacity.
Chip Kelly would not be able to turn around this Browns franchise overnight. This would be a long process as he adjusts to the NFL and builds a roster capable of executing his schemes.
Cleveland fans are not going to patiently wait for results. This franchise needs someone to bring a quicker end to their misery than Kelly would offer.
