South Carolina Outlasts Michigan to Win the Outback Bowl 33-28

Final Score: South Carolina 33, Michigan 28. 

South Carolina relied on big, explosive plays in the passing game and a huge game-changing defensive play from star DE Jadeveon Clowney to come away with a last-second victory over Michigan in the Outback Bowl. 

Backup quarterback Dylan Thompson stepped in for an injured Connor Shaw and came up with the key play of the game, as he hit WR Bruce Ellington with a deep pass over the middle for the game-winning touchdown with just 11 seconds remaining. 

Clowney's vicious hit on Vincent Smith, which caused a momentum-swinging turnover proved to be just as important, though. 

With the victory, Steve Spurrier's South Carolina squad has now compiled 11 wins in a season for the second consecutive year.
