Adirondack Phantoms Celebrate New Year's with Epic Tuxedo Jerseys
If you are going to take the ice on New Year's Eve, you might as well look as dapper as possible.
The AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers are wearing some baller jerseys for a special game. They took the ice on Monday dressed in faux tuxedos.
These may be some of the best uniforms we have ever seen.
A tip of the hat to Big Lead, which spotted these wonderful jerseys prior to the hockey team's Monday matchup with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in Glens Falls, New York.
Before the clash began, the tweets showing off the new duds started pouring in. Here is a post from winger Tye McGinn:
Here is a close-up of a jersey from center Brayden Schenn:
Unfortunately, Bridgeport won the game in a shootout, but Adirondack won the sartorial battle well before the puck was dropped.
Forget for a moment that these are jerseys worn by a professional team playing in front of paying customers.
These things are hilarious and swagtastic enough to be worn proudly at your New Year's Eve festivities.
Not only do you get the sophistication you want in a black-tie affair, but you get to show your AHL allegiance as well.
When you take into account the fact that these jerseys were actually worn on the ice, they instantly become part of the conversation of the most insane uniforms ever.
And as many of you know, we love insanity around these parts.
Hit me up on Twitter for more holiday hilarity.
