Lebron James is the new Kevin Garnett.

Both players are at different places in their careers, but both will take similar paths. Lebron and Kevin were both taken straight out of high school, both touted as the next big thing. Looking at what they have achieved so far, I am amazed at the similarities.

Lebron and Kevin were both taken straight out of high school. Both were known to be the "Next Big Thing" in the NBA. Lebron has revolutionised the position of small forward by being bigger, faster, stronger, and more skilled then any other player.

Kevin changed his position, by bigger taller, faster, smarter, harder working, and more skillful then any other player.

Lebron has put up almost triple-double numbers for the last three seasons.

Kevin averaged 20, 12, 5, 1 and 1 for nine seasons. Kevin won an MVP and two Defensive Players of the Year. He also won the Citizenship Award.

Both players played for bottom feeding teams, whuch they carried on their shoulders to the playoffs.

When a slightly decent player came to give them a hand, Kevin almost got to the mountain. Lebron has reached the base, and still has to see if he can win a championship, a MVP, and a Defensive Player of the Year.

Different stages, no doubt, but similar paths.
