Michael Phelps' retirement years will no longer include the lovely Megan Rossee, from whom he reportedly split recently.

TMZ reports the man who amazed the world pretty much anytime he jumped in the pool is now as single as they come.

While there is no specific reason given, it seems the relationship may have hit a wall, at least according to the 27-year-old Olympian.

According to our sources, Phelps felt the relationship wasn't going anywhere, so he decided to end it so he could pursue other options.

Hear that, ladies? You are but lovely options.

As the Daily Mail reports, Phelps is worth a reported $40 million following a marvelous career in the pool. The Olympian continues to be a marketing dream regarding endorsements after taking 22 total medals from his various Summer Games.

He promised London would be his last and immediately went on a worldwide tour of relaxation, hitting up places like Maldives as well as sinking epic putts along the way.

As the Daily Mail report reminds us, the two went public back in August when both were spotted at a red-carpet event for Speedo.

Since then, their relationship has included various public appearances as wells as requisite and adorable tweets to fans.

He's gonna kill me for this but it's too adorable not to share! m_phelps00 how sweeeet was your little face instagr.am/p/TeGY4nv7c_/

Rossee is an aspiring actress who had no qualms with making her relationship with the star swimmer an extremely public one.

As the Daily Mail points out, that received quite some criticism from observers.

As for Phelps, he will go on living the good life, being rich and touring the world he dominated every four summers.
