Kansas State junior safety Ty Zimmerman, who had missed the Wildcats’ last two regular season games with a lower left leg injury, should be “nearly” 100 percent for the Fiesta Bowl against Oregon on Jan. 3.

Zimmerman suffered the injury during Kansas State’s 23-10 win over TCU on Nov. 10 and has not played since. The three-year starter has made 45 tackles this year, tied a team-high with five interceptions and recovered two fumbles this season.
