The regular season is over and the 12 NFL teams in the playoffs will begin their push to become Super Bowl champions. But Senior Lead NFL Writer Matt Miller and I aren't waiting around to make our picks for the entire playoff bracket.
Matt and I diverged very little in this week's episode of "Bracketology." Matt's seeds of love for the Cincinnati Bengals finally bore fruit: the AFC North team won 10 games this season and will be rewarded for their trouble by facing a very angry Houston Texans team at Reliant Stadium. I wouldn't say that I'm on the bandwagon...yet.
Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins took care of business in their Sunday night game against Dallas, which became a de facto playoff game after the New York Giants were eliminated and Minnesota won against their own division rival (more on that in a minute). Since the Redskins won the NFC East, they'll host a playoff game at home against another hot team with a rookie quarterback—Seattle.
Rounding out the weekend games in the NFC, Green Bay will face Minnesota for the second time in as many weeks. After losing to the Vikings at home, they'll travel to Lambeau Field this weekend for a rematch. It's not often we see a home-and-home in pro football, but one has to figure that Aaron Rodgers returning to his home field will turn the tide in this renewal.
Check out our thoughts in the latest episode of "NFL Bracketology." Enjoy our picks in the video above and leave your own in the comments below. As always, thanks for watching.
