Everyone loves a live show. And certainly there is nothing like seeing someone give 110 percent in the name of entertainment which in turn you have come to get.

Which asks a question, why for months on end have I harassed Dirk Kuyt on not being a more flamboyant footballer, and when I watch him live I can't get enough of the guy?

Or why many of my friends who travel to Old Trafford come home singing the praises of Carlos Tevez rather than the 30 million+ Dimitar Berbatov. The answer is a fairly straightforward one: Everyone loves a tryer!

Workhorse: Need or Nonsese

In an era whereby everybody craves beautiful football. the question is asked, how much of a leash are certain players kept on?

Take Rafa Benitez for instance. It seems that other than Gerrard and Torres, the other eight outfield players are asked to work has hard as possible off the ball and few are better than Dirk Kuyt or Javier Mascherano!

And generally, in Europe and against 'bigger' Premier League opposition, it proves a major success because teams are more likely to attack and leave bigger gaps.

However, Liverpool fans such as myself will ask the question. ''What about the points dropped against Hull, Stoke, Man City, Fulham or in the Riverside?''

The answer is that if teams don't come to attack, what good are two holding midfielders and your wingers only applying pressure off the ball?

So one question remains!

Does this world need flair minus the work or vice versa as it is relatively uncommon a player possesses both in abundance minus a few exceptions.

If Manchester United had to sell Berbatov or Tevez, who would be better off getting the road?

Or Liverpool Kuyt or Babel?

Or Chelsea Deco or Kalou?

Personally, I think the modern day workhorse is vital to every team and think that lack of flair or ability isn't the problem with Serie A or La Liga, it's the fact that players are not demanded to work by thier fans, but rather hold on to the ball.

Watching La Liga last week i thought how would Tevez or Kuyt fair in Spain or Italy?

Watching Liverpool hammer Madrid and United despite not being near their best see off Inter I would say with the right coach rather well!
