What a year.

The United States dominates another Olympic games. Lebron James finally wins his first NBA championship. Eli Manning wins his second Super Bowl. Alabama stomps LSU in the first inter-conference BCS Title game. Lance Armstrong becomes public enemy number one. Miguel Cabrera wins the first Triple Crown in Major League Baseball since Carl Yastrzemski in 1967.

That was only a snapshot of the excitement sports has brought to us in 2012. I haven't even touched on the U.S. Women's soccer team, Europe's amazing comeback to win the 2012 Ryder Cup, the NHL lockout or a relative newbie, Brad Keselowski, winning his first ever NASCAR Sprint Cup.

It is amazing that the year is finally coming to an end and what a great one it has been. In honor of 2012, I have compiled a slideshow of some of the most epic sports pics of the year.
