Altee Tenpenny's name is memorable, but football fans will remember him for much more than that by the time his college career comes to a close.
According to 247Sports Composite, Tenpenny is a 4-star running back out of North Little Rock West High School in Arkansas.
Tenpenny is the sixth-ranked running back in 247 Sports' composite rankings and the 46th player overall. He will make an immediate impact as he is simply too talented to be denied and will get plenty of touches out of the backfield.
He ran for over 1,300 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while catching two more touchdowns, but it's also worth noting that he missed the entire 2011 season with a broken ankle.
Even so, according to 247Sports, he was selected as a 2013 U.S. Army All-American.
Tenpenny brings the best of both worlds out of the backfield. He has the speed to break into the open field, but he's strong enough, at 5'11'', 212 pounds, to break tackles for tough yards between the tackles.
His ability to catch the ball will also come in handy as defenders become more athletic at each level of football. Tenpenny's quick feet and patience will make him a weapon from day one. As he gets stronger, he will become more of a threat in the power run game.
He may not get the opportunity to play early, but he will be a factor before his college days are through. He will provide a unique change of pace, or he will be a very capable every-down back.
