Manchester United 2-0 West Brom, Old Trafford, Full Time

Manchester United have had no trouble scoring at Old Trafford in recent history and the story was very much the same against West Brom as Ashley Young took just nine minutes to smash a shot into Ben Foster's goal off of Gareth McAuley.

The home side assumed a leading position against Steve Clarke's West Brom outfit, but some halftime words from Steve Clarke saw the visitors pose more of a threat in the second period.

That being said, the introduction of Robin van Persie ensured the three points belonged to Manchester United after the Dutch hitman struck his 14th goal of the season to wrap up the win for the hosts.
