NFL Expert Howie Long Picks JJ Watt as Defensive Player of the Year

Several players had remarkable performances on defense during the NFL regular season, but only one can be named Defensive Player of the Year. Two players in particular made their case for the honor by chasing NFL history.

Howie Long was a dominant defender during his playing days, so Behind the Mic on Bleacher Report asked him to tell everyone who deserves the coveted distinction of Defensive Player of the Year.

J.J. Watt has redefined his position with his play. Aldon Smith has been a dominant force since the day he entered the NFL.
