Rumor Mill (March 27)

Hi, people, and welcome to another episode of the Rumor Mill.
Let’s get started, shall we?

WrestleMania

There are still not enough Divas to make up the 25 Diva Battle Royal.

On that note, can somebody please explain to me what made Santino even think that if he beat Mickie James, he would be included in the Battle Royal? I swear that man is about one sandwich short of the picnic basket.

SmackDown

Well, well, well, what a show. The unification Tag team championship is heating up nicely.

And who could forget HBK ‘s tribute to The Undertaker? What a stunning performance although I am still trying to get my head around HBK being pure.

Superstars

Chris Jericho

Looks like more controversy is surrounding Jericho again. In a recent interview with TMZ.com

When asked, "You're a wrestler, so do you think you have better abs than Barack Obama?", Jericho responded, "As of right now I have better abs ... but pretty soon he's gonna take 65 percent of my abs away from me and give 'em to somebody else."

Jericho also stated "I will force Mickey Rourke to apologize for what he said," Jericho said in wrestling promo mode. "And if he doesn't apologize, I will keep slapping him and slapping him until he humbles himself."

Way to go, Jericho, you slap him silly.

Tommy Dreamer

Dreamer has updated his blog in which he speaks about the importance of Wrestlemania.
Here are some snippets.

1. The History

“Growing up in the early 80s being a wrestling fan I found myself to a small group of people, maybe even considered an outsider. I took a lot of teasing from other kids for loving wrestling so much, but once the first Wrestlemania came to MSG everyone became a fan.”

2. The return of Fan Axcess

“This is the greatest way as a fan to meet some of their favorites. This is also a way as a WWE Superstar to meet their fans. I love doing autographs and just mingling with the people who all share a common joy as I still do.”

John Cena has been very busy promoting his new movie “12 Rounds” he has been giving interview to anyone that will give him five minutes of their time.

In yet another interview with MTV, John Cena stated that wants to work with 50 Cent
"Still trying to keep in touch with the hip-hop."

Cena also gave another interview with the Star Telegram.com

5 Questions with John Cena:

1.The whole "game-playing" aspect of 12 Rounds is very intriguing.

“It’s an action movie, but it’s a very intelligent action movie.”

2. I’ve read that you seemed destined for performing since you were four years old but that wrestling came as an accident. How did those things converge?

”I was always a ham growing up, and my dad was a huge wrestling fan. Me and my brothers, when we’d roughhouse, we’d have little toy belts that we’d compete for"

3. So when you gave it a try, what was the biggest culture shock?

“There really was nothing. I’ve had a lot of success with the WWE, but I grew up very poor. So as far as having to drive 500 miles to work in front of a crowd of 13 people for five bucks, that wasn’t any surprise to me."

4. Your favorite music is classic rock—but you’re a rapper.

“Yeah, I actually listen to a lot of country-western as well. I can’t play an instrument, and I can’t sing. But I’ve always been half-quick-witted and decent with words, and I do love music.”

5. Do you see your movie career continuing in action, or would you follow a path similar to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who has gone from action to comedy and family films?

“I certainly would like to stick with action, only because everyone else doesn’t. A lot of these movies that I do, everybody’s looking for 'Where’s the next guy? Where’s the next action guy?”

On the Diva front

Wasn’t it great to see the queen of submissions make herself known to both Barbie dolls? I can hardly wait for the next match: Gail & Maria vs. Michelle and Maryse next Friday.

Let the fur fly and the plastic melt.

Behind the scenes

New dates for PPV: Night of Champions will now be on June 28. Great American Bash will be on July 26.

On the battle with steroids, Vince McMahon has stated that he will pay for ex wrestler’s rehab.

Well it’s about time. Guilty conscience, Vince?

Legends

The mystery of who will be inducting Howard Finkel has been revealed. Mean Gene Okerlund will be doing the honors.

Steve Austin

After finishing work on Sylvester Stallone's “The Expendables,” Stone Cold Steve Austin will begin work on his new movie, “The Stranger.”

Honky Tonk Man

Honky posted a message on his website yesterday that he was going to confront Flair at the Hall of Fame because of comments Flair made about Honky in his book, "To Be The Man."

He added "I will not disturb the Hall of Fame or WrestleMania 25 in any way."

You can find the message on Honky Tonk news

Well that's it for today, stay tuned for more rumors, news and gossip.
