The Houston Rockets found themselves in a dog fight on Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but in the end James Harden once against stepped up, boosting the visitors to an 87-84 victory at Target Center.
It was a back-and-forth battle throughout the night, but the Rockets ultimately prevailed by outscoring the Timberwolves in the fourth quarter 26-20.
Both teams shot poorly from the field, but despite 16 turnovers by the Rockets, they were able to pull away in the final 40 seconds, aided by two buckets from their offseason acquisition extraordinaire.
The Rockets improved to 16-12, while the Timberwolves fell to 13-13, as Kevin Love went 3-of-14 from the floor (including 0-of-7 from downtown).
Player of the Game: James Harden, SG, Houston Rockets
