The NFL announces the Pro Bowl teams tonight and the Chiefs are hopeful Jamaal Charles will be selected as a running back for the AFC. Charles leads the conference with 1,456 yards, putting him 128 yards ahead of Houston’s Arian Foster, who is in second place. Charles would appear to be an easy selection but the Chiefs’ 2-13 record lends an air of uncertainty. “In this business, when you win, teams and players get more recognition,” Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel said today. “When you lose, you don’t get as much recognition. But he’s been a bright spot for us. He has a chance to become a 1,500-yard rusher and those don’t come along every day.” Charles missed most of last season because of torn knee ligaments but has bounced back nicely.
