Dutch footballer Wesley Sneijder could soon be on his way to London to join the Premier League's Tottenham Hotspur. The Inter Milan midfielder is ready to move on and has reportedly agreed to a deal, according to CNN Italian correspondent Tancredi Palmeri via Twitter:

With Sneijder to London looking like a very real possibility now, let's take a minute to break down what the 28-year-old brings to the table.

Speed kills in most sports today, and certainly in football. The Premier League is full of burners, and Sneijder would fit right in with Spurs.

He doesn't boast the long stride that taller players have, and he may not possess the speed that takes him from one end to the other in a hurry. But he is a gifted, agile athlete, and one that excels in situations that require quickness and short bursts of speed.

Sneijder's reaction time and balance allow him to make sensational plays in small space.

Whether he's dodging an oncoming defender or shaking free for a shot on goal, his quickness makes him a world-class midfield talent.

Accurate Shooting

There aren't many midfielders better than Sneijder when it comes to striking the ball from distance. Whether he's launching a ball into the box or looking to trouble the goalkeeper himself from just outside the box, Sneijder is as accurate as they come.

But his accuracy extends beyond his shooting. His passing is also rarely off target, as evidenced by his 39 assists in less than four full seasons with Inter.

Sneijder is a complete midfielder, and his accuracy sets him apart from the rest. His vision as both a scorer and a playmaker make him a threat from anywhere in the attacking third.

Sneijder may be a bit undersized compared to some of the world's other top players, but he is a versatile star nonetheless.

He can play with both feet, possess the ball in traffic and win it back on defense thanks to his deceiving power. A lot of times people forget about Sneijder's physical prowess because of his size, but if you watch him fend off opponents and muscle the ball away, you'll quickly understand.

Versatility is vital to being a world-class player. It's not enough to excel as a shot-taker in midfield—you must also be able to create for others, possess and defend. Sneijder can do all four, and that's what he would bring to Spurs in 2013.
