Calvin Johnson: NFL's Most Improved Player from Last Week

Josh Zerkle@JoshZerkleChief Writer IIIDecember 24, 2012

As the regular season nears its end and the playoffs are starting to shape up, Calvin Johnson is just getting started. After a monster game Saturday night, Calvin Johnson continues to put up Hall of Fame numbers for a player who's only been in the league six years.

Calvin Johnson broke Jerry Rice’s single-season receiving record Saturday night with 225 yards against the Falcons and is on track for a 2,000-yard season. For a wide receiver on a team with no running game, there is something to be said for that. That is why he is State Farm’s Most Improved Player from Week 16.
