10 MMA Figures You'd Want to Invite to Your Holiday Party
The eggnog may be flowing and the fire place may be crackling, but if you are a hardcore mixed martial arts freak like me, then you are probably just as excited for this weekend's UFC 155 as you are for Santa's midnight arrival.
If only we could combine the two so that we could still get our MMA fix while spreading the holiday cheer. For me, my ideal holiday fighting fantasy would be to party with some of the top figures in the sport—a dream I'm sure every fan wishes would come true.
Here are the 10 MMA personalities I wish I could invite to my Christmas party.
10. Georges St-Pierre

UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre would be one of those really classy and laid-back holiday party guests.
He's probably one of those guys who gives off that chill vibe at events. You wouldn't have to worry about St-Pierre sipping on too much eggnog.
Plus, who wouldn't want to party with a world champ?
9. John Dodson

Flyweight top contender John Dodson has to be one of the funniest lighter-weight fighters in the game today.
From his interviews outside of the cage to even the way he fights inside the Octagon, you can't help but be amused by "The Magician's" bubbly personality.
I feel like Dodson would be an awesome party guest and would likely add a ton of Christmas spirit to the atmosphere.
8. Urijah Faber
Former WEC champ Urijah Faber is another one of those laid-back, fun-loving guys who is probably really awesome to party with.
Not only that, but the current UFC bantamweight truly embodies the spirit of the season, as seen in the video embedded in this slide. Last Christmas, Faber shaved his long locks as a sign of support for his sister, who was involved in a serious car accident and had to undergo brain surgery.
With both his fun-loving side and his serious side, it would be an honor to have Faber as a guest.
7. Dana White

One of the most outspoken figures in the entire sport, UFC President Dana White isn't afraid to share his opinions. But he knows how to have a good time as well.
The usually amicable White probably isn't that antagonistic type of party guest, but I doubt that he'd shy away from sharing his thoughts and views, no matter how polarizing, if the subjects came up.
Sometimes, you need a guy like White to add a little spice to a party.
6. Alistair Overeem
If I had the chance, I'd totally make Alistair Overeem my MMA Christmas party's Santa Claus.
As you can see from the picture, it looks completely ridiculous, but it would be totally worth seeing in person—even if I had to pay for it.
Just imagine a kid waking up on Christmas night to see "The Reem" all buffed out as he shoots down the chimney. I'd probably freak out if I saw that. But then again, that'd be my likely reaction to seeing any person break into my home through the chimney.
5. Chael Sonnen

Outspoken, brash and just an overall character, upcoming TUF coach Chael Sonnen would probably be one of those guys who ruffles some feathers at parties—but likely in the funniest ways possible.
Sonnen would be like that crazy uncle you invite over just to hear his hilarious stories and opinionated world views.
While Uncle Chael is definitely more insightful than your run of the mill crazy relative, that doesn't mean he wouldn't be just as funny of a holiday party guest.
4. Joe Rogan

One of the most eccentric sports announcers out there, comedian and UFC commentator Joe Rogan would be a hilarious guest to invite to any party, holiday season or not.
If you haven't heard Rogan's podcast or numerous Internet interviews, then I highly suggest you check them out. They are both insightful and, as expected, funny as hell.
Rogan has strong opinions on a variety of topics, both MMA-related and not, so I'd love to get the chance to pick his brain.
3. Wanderlei Silva

Normally, a guy nicknamed "The Axe Murderer" wouldn't be your first choice to play Santa Claus at a Christmas function. And from the picture in this slide, it's eerily apparent why.
But once you see the legendary Wanderlei Silva actually rock the Santa beard and hat like in this meme, the image is just too hilarious to forget. In my head, I can already hear the "ho, ho, ho's" highlighted by his thick Brazilian accent.
If I ever had the chance to invite him to my party, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Just make sure to stay on Wandy Claus' good side.
2. Jade Bryce

It's not really a party if there aren't any lovely ladies in attendance, and I can't think of a better Bellator beauty to celebrate the holiday season with than ring girl Jade Bryce.
Jade certainly isn't afraid to flaunt her Christmas spirit, as this gorgeous collage she put together last year can attest to, so you can see why she'd be an awesome guest to invite.
However, there's another MMA beauty who tops my list of party invitees...
1. Brittney Palmer

As the UFC's leading Octagon girl, Brittney Palmer's affinity for the the holiday season, mixed with her stunning looks, easily puts her at the top of my list of fantasy MMA holiday party guests.
Channeling her inner Christmas spirit while sporting some jaw-dropping, holiday-appropriate attire in the hilarious 12 days of MMA Christmas video, it's easy to see why she takes the No. 1 spot on my list.
Is it too late to add this to my wish list, Santa?
