One of the best teams in the AFC faces off against the worst in Week 17 as Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos host Jamaal Charles the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs (2-13) aren't playing for much, but some of their fans will hope this game is a loss if only to aid their pursuit of the number one overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Jamaal Charles ran for 107 yards the last time these teams met, but that was just a footnote in the middle of the Broncos' 10-game winning streak. Can the Chiefs put a damper on their divisional rivals' final week? Or, will Sunday woes lead into a tough "Black Monday?"
The Broncos (12-3) are worried more about grabbing home-field advantage in the playoffs and should treat this game as must-win. They'll balance that with trying to keep their players out of harm's way, especially Peyton Manning who was sacked twice by Justin Houston in Week 12. If the Broncos can shut down Charles and protect Manning, this game shouldn't be more than a speed bump.
