Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons: Game Previews & Predictions for Week 17

Andrew GardaFeatured ColumnistDecember 24, 2012

The Atlanta Falcons have locked down a bye week and home-field advantage, so it remains to be seen what they do to rest up for the playoffs.

It's a divisional battle, so they may not take their foot off the gas at all.

Tampa Bay will definitely come in with something to prove even if the playoffs aren't happening.

The Bucs may want to take this opportunity to let the NFC South know they're for real, and what better way to do it than beating Atlanta in the Georgia Dome?

It won't be easy, especially with quarterback Josh Freeman playing very inconsistently. So expect a lot of runs by the Muscle Hamster, aka Touchdown Dougie aka Doug Money Martin.

Call him what you want, but expect the Bucs to call him early and often by any name.

Which means Martin will see a lot of the Falcons front seven, which is ranked 24th against the run.

Can the Bucs make a statement? Are they close enough to be a force in the NFC South?

Join Evan Adrian, Josh Zerkle and I as we wrestle with those questions and more in this game prediction video.
